I'm also new to the gluten-free lifestyle, I'm a lover of beer, and I live in Lakewood, WA. I was doing research on google and came across some helpful information. I know at least one of these beers is sold locally. That beer's website is http://www.bardsbeer.com/. They have a retail/restraunt locator on their site. Another one that recieved good reviews is Redbridge Beer brewed by Anheuser-Busch. They're website is redbridgebeer.com. It's only available at a few restraunts/bars.
I haven't tried either one but if you do before me let me know!
Another helpful suggestion would be to check out Trader Joe's, Cost Plus WorldMarket at the Tacoma Mall (close to Circuit City), or even MSM Deli on 6th Ave.
I'm with 99 Bottles beer store in Federal Way, Wash. -- just a skip away from Candice in Lakewood. We carry Bard's Beer and Green's gluten-free beers (Quest & Endeavor) on a regular basis, and also carry gluten-free ciders such as Woodchuck, Wyder's, and Spire Mountain.
If someone from New Grist could let us know who the local distributor in Washington is, we'd be happy to bring the beer into the store so you don't have to travel to Seattle.
